GPDR

What is GDPR?

A new comprehensive data protection law known as the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) went into force on May 25, 2018. To increase the protection of personal data and a person's rights, it will replace the current EU Data Protection regulation. The privacy of our clients' data is extremely important to us, so MoonBack strictly complies with GDPR.

How has MoonBack made GDPR preparations?

In order to ensure that we complied with the new legislative requirements, we spent several months developing a strong data protection framework for all of our users and conducted a significant redesign of our business procedures and product features.

Here are some crucial actions we did to ensure we complied with GDPR requirements:

Policy alterations

To increase clarity and make it simpler for our users to understand what data we gather and why, we changed our privacy policy, terms of service, and cookie policy.

To make it simpler for you to discover what you're looking for, we've made these policies easier to navigate and more organized. Additionally, we have clarified our procedures in greater detail and using simpler terminology.

We have amended our Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) that obligate our contractors to meet the data privacy standards outlined by GDPR because we use third-party suppliers to make MoonBack more accessible.

Product Alterations

We understand that having control over your information is crucial. As a result, our team has created the capabilities required to provide our users more insight into and control over how we utilize their data.

This includes the choice to opt out of marketing analytics and communication, the ability to delete an account and its associated data, and improved access to details on the collection, storage, and processing of user data.

Process alterations

We are aware that we play a part in ensuring the security of your data. As a result, we have finished an internal audit of how we manage user personal data.

The audit thoroughly examined the categories of personal data we handle, the locations where we store them, and the personnel who have access to them.

We have also examined the vendors that handle this data and taken steps to ensure that they are adhering to the GDPR's rules for data protection. We are also putting in place policies for data access, storage, and retention.
